For those with strong technical experience with our legacy e.Report products, we offer the e.Report Certified Professional exam. For those using the new BIRT design tools, we offer two levels of Certification. The first, the BIRT Certified Developer validates the exam taker's knowledge of the BIRT report design environment. The second, the BIRT Certified Professional exam validates the exam taker's knowledge of the BIRT design tolls, as well as the ability to integrate and deploy BIRT reports using the BIRT API's.
To prepare for these exams, we recommend the following:

• Attend the e.Report Designer Professional and Developing Customized reports training courses offered through Actuate University
• Prepare for and pass the Actuate Developer exam (Download a Study Kit)

BIRT Report Certified Developer

• Attend the BIRT Designer Professional training course offered through Actuate University
• Prepare for and pass the BIRT Certified Developer exam (Download a Study Kit)

BIRT Report Certified Professional

• Attend the BIRT Report Designer Professional and Integrating and Deploying BIRT training courses offered through Actuate University
• Carefully study the Addison-Wesley reference books, BIRT, A Field Guide to Reporting and Integrating and Extending BIRT.
• It is highly recommended that the examinee have hands-on experience building and deploying BIRT reports before taking this exam.
• Preparing for and passing the BIRT Certified Professional exam.

Actuate offers certification on version 9 of our e.Report Designer Professional application and version 2.3.1 of BIRT. For either exam, we highly recommend that you attend the appropriate training courses offered through Actuate University.
