BIRT Studio

BIRT Studio gives business and power users ad-hoc reporting capabilities and allows them to perform their own ad-hoc analysis against enterprise data sources.
New features and enhancements in the latest Actuate BIRT release include:

  • Improved mobile experience with HTML5 support for animated graphics, available on ANY mobile device, including iOS devices
  • Charting and graphing enhancements with new HTML5 charting library that augments Adobe® Flash® objects for rich visualizations
  • Browser access from any mobile device
  • Dynamic ad-hoc parameter support: Invokes an intelligent parser that automatically updates underlying queries based on the value supplied for a parameter.
  • Crosstabs: Allows users to design and review data along different dimensions; business users start with a crosstab template and use pre-defined BIRT Data Objects to create crosstab reports.
  • Flash Charts: Adobe Flash provides interactivity to BIRT Studio charts and adds an additional chart type to BIRT Studio. Actuate BIRT architecture ensures that the resulting Flash visualizations output is interactive.Summary Tables: BIRT Studio provides a new summary table, a special type of table.
  • Support for BIRT Data Objects: BIRT Studio users can use new BIRT Data Objects as data sources for their BIRT designs.
