Actuate Professional Services provides Actuate clients with assistance in upgrading the Actuate software within their current reporting environment, and in migrating their Actuate reporting applications to this new environment. Actuate Professional Services combine consulting services with a proven methodology to smoothly upgrade and migrate older Actuate installation to the current release—Actuate 9 SP3.

Actuate introduces two packages to help customers smoothly upgrade and migrate older Actuate installation to current release.

  • Actuate 9 Upgrade Package

    The Upgrade package includes the consulting services to assist a customer with a typical point-by-point software upgrade of an existing application.

  • Actuate 9 Migration Strategy Package

    The Migration Strategy package provides a thorough analysis and recommendations for customers who want to take advantage of new product features or make other significant changes to their Actuate application along with upgrading.

Actuate Consultants offer in-depth knowledge of Actuate products to help customers move forward with confidence. The goals of an Upgrade or Migration engagement are to:

  • Accomplish the upgrade economically in the minimum time necessary
  • Take advantage of new features where they will add value
  • Take the worry out of upgrading, by applying their project methodology plus experience with current and older Actuate releases

    A Proven Methodology

    To assure a successful transition, Actuate Consultants employ a team approach and leverage a flexible project management methodology. This methodology ensures that the installation preserves existing functionality while opening the opportunity to use the latest features of the new release.

    Actuate will staff the engagement with a highly qualified and certified Actuate consultant, and will assign a Professional Services Project Manager to lead the engagement. During the project, the consultants will transfer knowledge of new features to your development team. These consultants' proficiency in Actuate will produce optimal project designs that are expeditiously delivered.

    Investigate, Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Migration Strategy

    Actuate Professional Services analyzes current implementations, identify functional and performance gaps, and conduct a thorough impact analysis of a new version upgrade.

    Actuate Consultants provide guidance on making the best choice between a straightforward version upgrade and a migration effort to leverage new functionality in the product. Common activities and deliverables from these projects include:
