IBM Maximo has long delivered Actuate technology as the embedded reporting solution for users. With release of Maximo v7, a new reporting capability is introduced, based on the open source Eclipse™ BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) project.
Actuate founded and co-leads the BIRT project within the Eclipse Foundation. As the leading expert on both BIRT and Actuate technology, Actuate is uniquely positioned to advise and guide Maximo users on migration strategies for adopting BIRT, or how to get the most out of your current Actuate installation.
Many options are available to you. You can adopt the new BIRT technology introduced in v7, and continue using your Actuate reports and spreadsheets with v8 and beyond, backed by Actuate support.
Not quite ready to migrate to Maximo 7? No problem. Eclipse BIRT is so flexible, it can be used with Maximo v5 and v6 too!
