Membership will enhance Actuate’s Customer Communications Management (CCM) solution by incorporating AFPC functionality and formats across industries

Actuate’s Content Services Group (formerly Xenos Group) enables organizations to develop, implement and manage enterprise-class Customer Communications Management (CCM) solutions. Actuate for CCM™ is used to design, process, store, and deliver high-volume content – including statements, policies and invoices. As one of the most common presentation architectures for monochrome and color production variable-data printing, AFP is a popular format for high-volume print stream output.

The AFPC helps develop, define and promote AFP architecture for developers and software manufacturers, ensuring seamless interoperability of AFP products from various AFPC members, and providing compatibility between AFP and other presentation environments. The AFPC gives developers a forum where they can share AFP knowledge, and offers decision makers the ability to learn about the roles and capabilities of AFP and AFP’s subset standards in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and other electronic document applications.
The purpose of the AFP Consortium is to develop, define and promote the AFP architecture. It's goals are to develop AFP as the best-of-breed presentation architecture for monochrome and color production variable-data printing, while ensuring seamless interoperability of AFP products from the various AFPC members. In addition, AFPC provides for compatibility between AFP environments and other presentation environments such as web/view.
