San Mateo, Calif., - November 28, 2011 – Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: BIRT), The people behind BIRT® and the leading open source Business Intelligence (BI) vendor, today announced a strategic collaboration between its Output Management business and QC Soft, an Italian document management solutions and services specialist.
Actuate provides solutions that transform enterprise information into intelligent content, optimising companies’ ECM investments. QC Soft, which has a presence throughout Italy, is a leading provider of document creation and output management services and solutions, delivered through analysis, consulting and support services.
The alliance is evidence of Actuate’s continued commitment to expand its footprint in Southern Europe, enabling it to address local document management requirements through appropriate solutions, local knowledge and convenient sales channels. The alliance will allow Actuate’s Xenos Group to tap into QC Soft’s expertise in sectors such as utilities and finance, and its team of experts based in Milan, Rome and Naples which between them provide nationwide coverage across Italy.
On the back of the alliance, Actuate will launch its Xenos Enterprise Output Management solution in Italy, enabling local companies to reduce costs by streamlining the collection, processing and control of large batches of documents, both in print and digital formats. Actuate will provide QC Soft with access to its complete suite of Output Management products, complemented by marketing, communications, technical and sales support, increasing market opportunities and growing revenues for both parties.
