The packages provide support for and migration to BIRT, the leading open source information application development environment, as it is delivered in Maximo v7. Upgrades to value-added capabilities from BIRT include rich, interactive and easy-to-use reports, ad hoc reporting and dashboards, as well as access to multiple data sources to maximize the value of Maximo v7 information by increasing its usability and reach to more users. Additionally, Maximo v6 users can gain access to support of existing Actuate Reporting Options, the ability to add enhanced BIRT reporting capabilities and support for migrating the Business Intelligence and reporting modules to Maximo v7.
