Actuate Announces Next Generation Upgrade and Support Packages for Maximo Users

Standard, Custom and Security Support Packages for Maximo e.Reports Users and Maximo Users Migrating from e.Reports to Actuate BIRT

San Mateo, Calif. – August 24, 2010 – Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTU), the people behind BIRT® and the leader in open source Business Intelligence, today announced the availability of upgrade and support packages for the Business Intelligence and reporting modules of the IBM Maximo Asset Management application, which provide critical data to decision-makers across the organization.  The packages provide support for and migration to BIRT, the leading open source information application development environment, as it is delivered in Maximo v7.  Upgrades to value-added capabilities from BIRT include rich, interactive and easy-to-use reports, ad hoc reporting and dashboards, as well as access to multiple data sources to maximize the value of Maximo v7 information by increasing its usability and reach to more users.  Additionally, Maximo v6 users can gain access to support of existing Actuate Reporting Options, the ability to add enhanced BIRT reporting capabilities and support for migrating the Business Intelligence and reporting modules to Maximo v7.  Actuate support and upgrade packages are the only offerings that allow Maximo users to seamlessly preserve their Actuate content within Maximo and receive software updates and upgrades.  By engaging with Actuate directly, Maximo users can ensure that there is no interruption in the delivery of their Maximo information.
