As the latest addition to ActuateOne, the Actuate BIRT iHub helps organizations access data in any format—including big data—and provides users with unprecedented access to this data. In the process, iHub will allow organizations to access any big data source without increasing costs such as those incurred in owning and maintaining decrepit data warehouses, while concurrently meeting the data consumerization expectations of end users on both traditional and touch devices and improving the usability and value of insights derived from diverse data sources.

In addition to traditional big data sources, the new iHub adds to BIRT and ActuateOne the ability to process and present cloud and social media as well as machine-generated data to better understand an organization’s business and to apply available predictive analytics to forecast where that business is headed and make appropriate decisions, ensuring that they remain competitive. The ability to take advantage of iHub’s flexible virtualization feature allows organizations to scale and contract their applications as appropriate in public/private/hybrid clouds and via SaaS and PaaS environments.

ActuateOne solutions based on the BIRT iHub, such as Customer Communications Management
and Performance Analytics, employ the products’ inherent ability to create interactive content, to scale,
and to perform reliably, ensuring both flexibility and security in any deployment. Additionally, ActuateOne solutions delivered via the BIRT iHub will continue to evolve as performance measures and end user requirements change. BIRT iHub incorporates all of the elements required to deploy intuitive, self-service information applications that allow non-technical users to access and manage metrics that minimize risk,
