Designing, customizing and Publishing e.Spreadsheet Reports

Course Description

Course Length:
2 Day

Who Should Attend?
Developers

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with HTML and/or XML is highly recommended for this class

Course Description:

This course teaches report developers how to use Actuate's e.Spreadsheet Designer and e.Spreadsheet Server to design, run, and deploy e.Spreadsheet reports for viewing on the web. In a hands-on laboratory setting, students learn key e.Spreadsheet reporting concepts, and then use the e.Spreadsheet Designer tool to create spreadsheet-based reports. Exercises progress from creating simple reports to complex designs using grouping, runtime parameters, and external data sources. The focus of the course is on using XSL stylesheets to automate report layout and formatting tasks, and designing customized, reusable report layouts.

Each student receives a comprehensive course manual, which functions both as a workbook during class, and as a detailed reference guide once the class is completed.
