Distance Learning - Developing BIRT Reports using Information Objects
Distance Learning is the web-based delivery vehicle for Actuate technical training.
In our Distance Learning classes, students remotely attend our regional classes. Distance Learning students will see and hear the instructor's presentations, participate in class discussions and can share their desktops with the instructor when needed. Students receive the course materials and instructions on how to join the web session the week before the class start date.
This BIRT training course develops the skills needed to build reports using Actuate's BIRT Report Designer Professional. The course is essential for report developers who want to be immediately productive with the BIRT Report Designer and want to understand how to use Information Objects as data sources for their reports. Through presentations, demonstrations, and exercises, students are introduced to the design tools and basic reporting concepts, then progressively explore more advanced features. Students create reports that range from simple listing reports to complex reports using grouping, report parameters, charts, multiple master pages and hyperlinks.
This is a highly interactive, instructor led class providing many opportunities for students to ask questions, explore new areas, and receive help from the instructor as they work through the exercises.
By the end of this two-day training, students will have mastered the skills to create a wide variety of reports, simple and sophisticated, using the graphical tools of BIRT Report Designer.
